Online Writing Community Ratings/Reviews (SCORES)

If I’m going to rate online writing communities, I should probably explain my scoring system, eh? Scores are from 1 to 5, with 5 being outstanding and one being piss-poor. My guess is that most, if not all, will fall somewhere between 2.5 and 4, seeing as how it would be near impossible for a free site to contain all the elements I’m looking for (and seeing as how some of them may even counter one another, as might be the case with having a lot of features while also having a more advanced community of writers).

With that in mind, I’d guess that having a score of 4 would mean I think the site is outstanding and I will probably be spending significant time there; 3 would mean I think the site is fine, might check in now and then and even do a few reviews, but that I don’t expect it to hold my interest for long; and that 2.5 and below is a site I probably won’t waste much time with.

I’d say 3 is about average, or a good, solid online community for writers, but lacking some element(s) that I’m looking for to make it one I’d strongly recommend to the masses.

As with everything about this, though, it’s subject to the bend and sway of my mood :).
